These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Scott's Auto Carrier website at scottsautocarrier.com and all related services. By accessing our website, requesting a quote, booking a shipment, or communicating with us, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
1. Description of Services
Scott's Auto Carrier is a licensed auto transport broker (USDOT #4446498 | MC #1713498) that arranges the transportation of vehicles between locations within the United States, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and internationally. We connect customers with licensed, insured motor carriers to transport vehicles. We do not own or operate the carrier trucks ourselves.
2. SMS/Text Messaging Terms
By providing your mobile phone number and opting in via our quote request form, you consent to receive SMS/text messages from Scott's Auto Carrier. Our SMS messaging program is used for the following purposes:

- •Quote confirmations: Confirming receipt of your auto transport quote request and providing your estimated price.
- •Booking updates: Notifying you when a carrier has been assigned, when pickup is scheduled, and confirming delivery completion.
- •Shipment status: Real-time updates on your vehicle's location and estimated arrival times.
- •Payment notifications: Deposit confirmations, payment reminders, and receipt delivery.
- •Customer support: Responses to your questions and follow-ups on service issues.
- •Promotional offers: Seasonal discounts and special pricing (only with your explicit promotional consent).
Opt-Out Instructions
You can opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any text message you receive from Scott's Auto Carrier. Upon receiving your STOP request, you will receive a single confirmation message stating you have been unsubscribed. No further messages will be sent unless you re-opt-in.

Message & Data Rate Disclosure
Message and data rates may apply. Standard messaging and data rates charged by your wireless carrier apply to all SMS messages sent to and received from Scott's Auto Carrier. Message frequency varies based on your shipment activity; you may receive up to 10 messages per month during an active booking. Check with your wireless carrier for details about your messaging plan.
Carrier Liability Disclaimer
Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Scott's Auto Carrier and participating wireless carriers are not responsible for any delays, failures to deliver, or errors in the content of SMS messages. Service availability is dependent on your wireless carrier's network coverage.

4. Age Restriction
You must be at least 18 years of age to use our services, request a quote, enter into a transport agreement, or opt in to our SMS messaging program. By using our website or services, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a person under 18, we will delete that information and any associated account or booking.
5. Quotes, Pricing & Payment
Quotes provided through our website are estimates based on the information you provide. Your final price is confirmed when a carrier is assigned to your shipment. Our ScottPrice Lock Guarantee ensures the quoted price does not increase after confirmation.
- •A deposit is required to reserve your shipment. Your card is not charged until a carrier is confirmed.
- •The remaining balance is due upon delivery unless you elect to pay in full at booking.
- •Prices may vary based on vehicle size, condition, route, season, and accessibility of pickup/delivery locations.
- •Inoperable vehicles, oversized vehicles, or vehicles with aftermarket modifications may incur additional charges.
6. Cancellation & Refund Policy
You may cancel your booking at any time before a carrier has been dispatched to pick up your vehicle at no charge. Once a carrier has been dispatched, cancellation fees may apply. Contact our support team for cancellation requests.
7. Limitation of Liability
Scott's Auto Carrier acts as a licensed broker and is not a motor carrier. The actual transportation of your vehicle is performed by independent, licensed, and insured motor carriers. While we vet every carrier for FMCSA licensing, insurance coverage ($750,000+ cargo insurance minimum), and safety records, the carrier is responsible for the physical transport of your vehicle.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scott's Auto Carrier shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to the use of our services or website.
8. Insurance & Damage Claims
All carriers in our network carry a minimum of $750,000 in cargo insurance. A Bill of Lading (BOL) documenting your vehicle's condition is completed at both pickup and delivery. If damage occurs during transport, claims are filed against the carrier's insurance policy. Scott's Auto Carrier will assist you in the claims process.
Personal items left inside vehicles are not covered by carrier cargo insurance. We recommend removing all personal belongings before transport. Up to 150 lbs of personal items in the trunk is generally accepted but at your own risk.
9. Privacy Policy
Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information, including mobile phone numbers and SMS data. 10. Intellectual Property
All content on our website -- including text, graphics, logos, images, and software -- is the property of Scott's Auto Carrier or its content suppliers and is protected by United States and international copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content without our prior written consent.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be resolved in the courts of Denton County, Texas.
12. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When changes are made, we will update the "Effective date" at the top of this page. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
